Northern Virginia Periodontics: Old Town

I had a great experience with Dr. Gohel at Northern Virginia Periodontics. I had heard varying things about my teeth and gums from dentists over the years and I wanted to get a periodontist opinion. The staff is helpful and responsive, and it was easy to book an appointment and fill out the forms. The location was convenient to my work and was clean and welcoming. What I appreciated most about Dr. Gohel and his staff is I received a thorough examination. Dr. Gohel patiently talked me through what he observed and possible courses of action. They used high-resolution photographs of my teeth and gums and put them up on the big screen so he could show me exactly what he was talking about. I'm accustomed to seeing black and white X-rays at the dentist where I can't really tell what a slight grey spot might mean. The photos were helpful and easy to see what the doctor was talking about. I didn't feel any rush when talking to Dr. Gohel and asking questions (I had a few since this was my first time ever seeing a periodontist). I didn't feel pressured to commit to any course of action. I felt I was just receiving the doctor's expert advise and analysis with options laid out for me. That

Dr. Carlos and his staff were wonderful and incredibly understanding! I was referred by my orthodontist to see a periodontist for an issue with my gum line. After having some less-than-great experiences with surgical work at other practices, I was pleasantly surprised by how attentive and accommodating everyone at Northern Virginia Periodontics was. Andrea, the treatment coordinator, thoroughly answered all my questions about cost and what to expect. Dr. Carlos also clearly explained the procedure, expectations, and post-op care in a way that was easy to understand. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism of the entire team!

I love this practice! Periodontic work isn’t pleasant by nature, but the team here is excellent and takes great care to make me comfortable and explain everything. My gum health has improved under their care. Good communication with my dentist. Office is lovely and relaxing. Front desk is always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Carlos is highly committed to continuing education and up on the latest techniques. A great team!

Dr. Gohel and his team were extremely professional and sensitive to my anxiety from initial intake to final examination. Dr. Gohel provided his personal mobile number and answered questions during my recovery period. The folks at Northern Virginia Periodontics are commendable and it will be my pleasure to recommend them to anyone needing these types of services.

As much as one can enjoy going to a dental/periodontist, this office has an outstanding team. I have been doing to Dr. Carlos for a few years now and he provides excellent care and recommendations that reflect what I actually need and not projections of what isn’t necessary. Jenny at the front desk is amazing and super friendly. I’ve worked with her for nearly 8 years now and she’s always very well informed, helpful and organized, especially when it comes to navigating what is needed for insurance requirements. My original hygienist at this practice was Parisa, who had the softest touch when it came to cleaning, but now I’ve switched to Tien who is also just great and has a great sense of humor to put me at ease during a session.
